These treats I bought from 7/11s and the countless vending machines found along the way. I tried mostly coffee, chasing that high I got from the perfect Hokkaido Iced Coffee I tried back in 2006, but unfortunately the drinks varied between barely drinkable to diabetes inducing sweetness.
Japanese beverages are brilliant to say the least. I remember my first sip of Hokkaido Iced Coffee and the feeling of excitement and realisation that finally we had found a drink that surpassed the Farmers Union benchmark however the excitement I felt was certainly less then that a good friend of ours, Mr Toop. He was literally levitating the spot, grin across his face, glasses slightly fogged and saying, “oh dear god, you have to try this”.
